Over 17.07 Lakh Muslims Perform Hajj 2026, Mesmerizing Videos from Saudi Arabia Captivate Devotees

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Statistics released the official figures for Hajj 2026, stating that a total of 17,07,301 pilgrims performed Hajj this year.

According to the statistics authority, 15,46,655 pilgrims arrived from outside Saudi Arabia, while 1,60,646 pilgrims performed Hajj from within the Kingdom.

The official data also revealed that Hajj 2026 included:

• 8,93,396 male pilgrims
• 8,13,905 female pilgrims

Majority of Pilgrims Arrived by Air Route

The statistics showed that:

• 14,85,729 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia by air
• 54,429 pilgrims entered through land routes
• 6,497 pilgrims reached the Kingdom by sea routes

The Hajj statistics were compiled on the basis of administrative records maintained by the Ministry of Interior.

Unified Register Based Model Used for Last Six Years

According to the Saudi statistics authority, the Hajj figures have been prepared under the Unified Register Based Model for the last six years.

The data was officially released as Muslims across the country celebrated Eid al-Adha with religious enthusiasm and devotion.

Hajj Pilgrim Numbers Increased Compared to Last Year

The statistics authority stated that last year, 16,73,230 people performed Hajj.

Compared to the previous year, the number of pilgrims increased in Hajj 2026, crossing 17 lakh pilgrims.
