Protocol War at Ameerpet Govt Hospital Inauguration, Kishan Reddy Fumes

Hyderabad: Protocol war has been witnessed at the inauguration of Ameerpet Government Hospital. BJP activists were outraged that the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G. Kishan Reddy’s photo was not put on the flexi during the inauguration of the Hospital.

TRS Ameerpet former corporator Sheshu Kumari got into an argument with the BJP followers leading the atmosphere tense as TRS and BJP activists chanted slogans against each other, with this, Kishan Reddy left without addressing the gathering.

On this occasion, the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the dialysis services will be started soon at the newly opened hospital in Ameerpet.

Pacifying the agitating people the Union Minister Kishan Reddy inaugurated the 50 beded hospital built at a cost of Rs. 4.53 crore in Ameerpet, he also thanked the Chief Minister K.Chandra Sekhar Rao for allocating funds for the construction of a 50 bedded hospital.

He also informed that in the year 2012 then government has sanctioned Rs. 2.97 crore to upgrade the 6 bedded hospital to 30 bedded, but the things stalled as funds were not released.

Talasani Srinivas Yadav  who is representing the constituency has appealed to the Chief Minister for upgrading the hospital to 50 bedded after the formation of Telangana state. The chief Minister has sanctioned Rs. 7.47 crore for the construction of 50 bedded hospital in 2017 as per his wish, although work began in 2018, construction work was halted for a few day in the middle due to the corona pandemic.

The G+2 hospital building on 9,451 SFT per floor will have facilities like ultrasound scanning, ECG, X-Ray and other state-of- the-art medical facilities. Modern equipments have been set up at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh for the patients coming to the hospital. He said the hospital would provide all kinds of medical services to the people of Ameerpet, Sanath Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Punjagutta and Srinagar Colony.  

The Minister said that he would take up the matter of developing the hospital into a 100 bedded hospital in the future with the Chief Minister and added that the government’s intention was to bring government medical services closer to the poor people. 

He recalled that Basti Dawakhana had already started dispensaries and taken medical services to the masses. He directed the concerned officials of Telangana State Medical Infrastructure Development Corporation officials to prepare the necessary proposals for the construction of another 50 bedded hospital in the vacant space adjacent to the hospital.
