Student Organisations Protest at Osmania University, Demand Resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Student organisations staged a protest at Osmania University, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET examination and alleged irregularities.

Hyderabad: Student organisations staged a protest at Osmania University, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the ongoing controversy surrounding the NEET examination and alleged irregularities.

The protesters questioned whether the Education Minister should not take responsibility and resign if 22 NEET aspirants have allegedly lost their lives amid the examination-related controversy.

The student groups alleged that despite widespread demands for his resignation, Dharmendra Pradhan continued to sit in Parliament and behave casually instead of addressing the concerns of students and their families.

The protesters also criticised the alleged police action against students at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, questioning how the government could remain silent when protesting students were allegedly subjected to force.

They accused the Central government of failing to adequately address the concerns of students and alleged that the government was more concerned about political positions and the interests of wealthy business groups than the welfare and future of students.

The student organisations reiterated their demand for accountability from the Union Education Ministry and called for immediate steps to ensure transparency in the examination system and protect the interests of students.

The protest at Osmania University comes amid growing demonstrations by student groups in several parts of the country over alleged examination irregularities and demands for reforms in the education and examination system.
