The appointment was formalized through an order issued by Special Secretary M Hanumantha Rao on Sunday. Reddy is set to serve a two-year term in this capacity, and his position grants him a cabinet rank status.

Before his current role, he served as an editor for Praja Paksham. Previously, Reddy had served as the editor for Visalandhra Patrika.

Notably, Allam Narayana held the position of Chairman of the Media Academy before Srinivas Reddy.
