Hyderabad: UKG Student Gets Two Stitches After Teacher Allegedly Hit Her with Exam Writing Pad at St. Ann’s Girls High School

A teacher has been accused of assaulting a UKG-B student at St. Ann’s Girls High School, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad. According to the child’s family, teacher Rajani Gaddam allegedly struck Huriyya Fatima with an exam writing pad, leaving the minor with a cut to her ear. Following a complaint by the family, Asif Nagar Police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Family Alleges Teacher Hit Child With Exam Writing Pad

According to the child’s father, Sheikh Hamid, he received a call from the school around 12 noon informing him that his daughter had suffered an injury to her ear.

He rushed from his office to the school and found that his daughter’s ear had been cut. After making inquiries, he was allegedly informed that teacher Rajani Gaddam had struck the child with an exam writing pad, causing the injury.

Child Shifted to Multiple Hospitals for Treatment

The father said he immediately took his daughter to a hospital for treatment. However, according to him, the first hospital did not admit her. He then went to another hospital, which also did not admit the child. Finally, she was treated at another hospital, where doctors stitched the wound.

According to the family, Huriyya Fatima received two stitches for the ear injury.

Father Demands Strict Action Against Teacher and School

Speaking after filing the complaint, Sheikh Hamid demanded strict action against the teacher and the school.

He alleged that teacher Rajani Gaddam should be removed from the school and appropriate legal action should be taken against her. He also stated that if his daughter suffers any complications in the future because of the injury, the school should be held responsible.

The father said he had admitted his daughter to St. Ann’s Girls High School in Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad because of its good reputation and expected proper care and quality education. He added that he was not concerned about the money spent on education but wanted his daughter to receive good care and good teaching.

Asif Nagar Police Register Case

Following the family’s complaint, Asif Nagar Police registered a case against the accused teacher and have launched an investigation into the incident.
