Union Minister Kishan Reddy watches ‘The Kerala Story’ in Hyderabad

The Minister said the film portrays events that have been occurring in the state of Kerala for many years and according to the director and producer, the film is based on a true story.

Hyderabad: Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy watched the ‘The Kerala Story” along with BJP leaders and women activists at Santhi Theater in Narayanaguda here on Tuesday.

Later, speaking to the media, Reddy said he watched the movie with the party workers as per their request.

The Minister said the film portrays events that have been occurring in the state of Kerala for many years and according to the director and producer, the film is based on a true story.

He said that the film resonates with the people of the country, as they perceive it to reflect reality.

Reddy highlighted the issue of religious conversions occurring through conspiracies and manipulations, stressing that some individuals are using religion as a guise for their sinister agendas.

He called upon the entire society to condemn such incidents and said there should be a collective responsibility to protect the girl child.

The Minister also said about the atrocities faced by Muslim women at the hands of ISIS militants.

He expressed concern about women being coerced into religious conversions under the pretext of “love jihad.”
