800 Kg Stale Chicken Seized in Parsigutta Hyderabad: GHMC and Task Force Raid Exposes Supply to Bars and Restaurants

800 kg stale chicken seized in Parsigutta Hyderabad after GHMC and Task Force raid on A1 Fresh Chicken Shop supplying bars and restaurants.

In a major food safety crackdown in Parsigutta, Hyderabad, GHMC officials along with Task Force teams conducted a joint raid on A1 Fresh Chicken Shop and seized around 800 kg of stale chicken. The meat, which had reportedly been stored for several days, was being sold to customers and supplied to bars, wine shops, and restaurants, raising serious concerns about public health and food safety in the city.

What Officials Found During the Raid

Officials found that the shop was operating under poor hygienic conditions, with improperly stored chicken that was unfit for human consumption. The inspection also revealed that the shop’s license had expired in January, yet operations continued without renewal.

During the raid, authorities confiscated the entire stock of approximately 800 kg of chicken to prevent further distribution.

Illegal Supply to Bars and Restaurants

Further investigation revealed that the shop had an illegal supply network, providing stale chicken to several establishments including:

  • Bars
  • Wine shops
  • Local restaurants

This has raised concerns about how many people may have unknowingly consumed unsafe food.

Police Action and Investigation

Police have registered a case against the shop owner Shakeel and others involved. The accused have been detained, and further investigation is underway to identify other links in the supply chain.

Authorities have also warned that strict action will continue against food safety violations across Hyderabad.

Food Safety Concerns in Hyderabad

The Parsigutta chicken raid, where 800 kg of stale chicken was seized by GHMC and Task Force officials, highlights the urgent need for stronger monitoring of meat shops and supply chains, especially when such unsafe food is reaching bars and restaurants.

Consumers are advised to check hygiene standards before purchasing meat products.
