CM Revanth Reddy Launches Student Kit Distribution for 27.50 Lakh Students at LB Stadium

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched Young India Student Kits for 27.50 lakh students at LB Stadium and announced ₹26,600 crore for education, aiming to make Telangana an Education Hub and Sports Hub.

HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the government’s goal is to identify the talents of students and shape them into responsible citizens. He reiterated his commitment to transforming Telangana into an Education Hub and a Sports Hub while launching student kit distribution and several education-related development programmes at LB Stadium.

The programme was organized by the state government at the beginning of the new academic year. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the initiatives and distributed kits to residential school students.

The Chief Minister announced that the government is providing Young India Student Kits to 27.50 lakh students across the state.

Revanth Reddy Promises Better Facilities for Students

Addressing students, Revanth Reddy said:

“Students should study very well. I will take responsibility for providing whatever is needed for education. Apart from breakfast, lunch and snacks in schools, we are also considering providing transportation facilities in the future.”

He stated that Telangana should emerge as an Education Hub and Sports Hub and emphasized the government’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure.

₹26,600 Crore Allocated to Education Sector

The Chief Minister said the government has allocated ₹26,600 crore, which accounts for 8.5 percent of the state budget, to the education sector.

According to him:

“The government views this not as expenditure but as an investment in the future. Strong economic foundations must be laid for tomorrow. The future of the country lies in welfare hostels.”

He further stated that the government believes the future of the nation lies in rural areas and classrooms.

Nursery, LKG and UKG Introduced in Government Schools

Revanth Reddy said many poor parents want their children to study in English medium and secure a better future.

For this purpose, the government has started:

  • Nursery classes
  • LKG classes
  • UKG classes

in government schools.

He recalled that the government introduced an education policy to ensure a clear educational framework from Nursery to Class 12.

Telangana Model School in Arutla Cited as Example

The Chief Minister stated that the Telangana Model School in Arutla has become a model institution.

He remarked that few would have imagined a situation where government schools would have to put up “No Admission” boards due to growing demand.

He credited teachers for their hard work and announced that the government is providing one public school in every constituency.

Telangana to Become a National Role Model in Education

Revanth Reddy said the government aims to make Telangana a national role model in education.

He urged students to:

  • Develop their talents
  • Become great leaders
  • Excel in social welfare schools
  • Participate in the rebuilding of the nation

The Chief Minister also said Telangana should grow into a “Unicorn” and become an example for the rest of the country.

Chief Minister Calls for More Ambedkars from Telangana

Referring to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Chief Minister said Ambedkar became a guiding force for the nation.

He expressed hope that Telangana would produce 100 Ambedkars from among Dalit children in the state.

He told students:

“Only the classroom can change everyone’s destiny. Study well. I will take responsibility for providing whatever is needed for your education.”

Anti-Drug Awareness Pledge and Exhibition Stalls

During the programme, all school and college students were administered a pledge to create awareness against drug abuse.

Before the meeting, the Governor and Chief Minister visited exhibition stalls set up at the venue.

Governor Distributes Kits and Launches Mentorship Programme

The Governor formally launched the student kit distribution programme by handing over kits to students from various schools.

Students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance received:

  • Cash incentives
  • Certificates of appreciation

The Chief Minister and Governor also jointly launched the “Anna–Akka Mentorship” Programme.

At a major education event held at LB Stadium, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, launched the distribution of Young India Student Kits to 27.50 lakh students and inaugurated several education-sector initiatives. The Chief Minister announced an allocation of ₹26,600 crore (8.5 percent of the budget) for education, highlighted plans to make Telangana an Education Hub and Sports Hub, discussed future transportation facilities for students, launched Nursery, LKG and UKG classes in government schools, and introduced the Anna–Akka Mentorship Programme. The government said these initiatives are aimed at developing student talent, strengthening public education, and building Telangana into a national model in education.
