Egg Supply Halted at Telangana Anganwadi Centres Over Pending Bills
Egg supply to more than 35,000 Anganwadi centres across Telangana has reportedly been suspended after the state government allegedly failed to clear pending payments for the past seven months.

Hyderabad: Egg supply to more than 35,000 Anganwadi centres across Telangana has reportedly been suspended after the state government allegedly failed to clear pending payments for the past seven months.
Contractors supplying eggs under the Arogya Lakshmi Scheme stopped deliveries from July 15, citing unpaid dues estimated at around ₹125 crore.
The disruption is expected to affect the distribution of nutritious food to pregnant women, lactating mothers, and young children, who are among the primary beneficiaries of the scheme.
The suspension has raised concerns over the continuity of nutritional support at Anganwadi centres, with stakeholders urging the government to clear the pending bills at the earliest and restore supplies.
