Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has invited Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, with the state government announcing that a dedicated Defence Expo will also be organised as part of the event.
Revanth Reddy said the Defence Expo would be a key feature of this year’s summit and is expected to showcase Telangana’s growing capabilities and opportunities in the defence and aerospace sectors.
The announcement has also drawn political attention, with questions being raised over which defence and aerospace companies will participate in the proposed expo. Particular interest has emerged around Tesseract, a defence-related company that has faced political controversy, and Raghav Aerospace and Defence, a company recently launched by Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

Opposition voices and political observers are expected to closely watch whether these companies participate in the Defence Expo and what role, if any, they may have at the summit.
The Invest Telangana Global Summit is being positioned by the state government as a major platform to attract investments, promote Telangana as an industrial destination and strengthen the state’s presence in strategic sectors such as defence, aerospace, manufacturing and technology.
The participation of senior Union government leaders and defence-sector companies is expected to add further significance to the summit, while the proposed Defence Expo could provide Telangana an opportunity to highlight its defence manufacturing and aerospace ecosystem.
