Cockfighting Betting Racket Busted in Adibatla, 22 Arrested
According to police, a raid was conducted at the suspected gambling den following information about illegal cockfighting and betting activities. During the operation, police seized 31 live betting cocks and 146 cockfighting knives.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police have busted an alleged cockfighting betting racket operating near the RTO office at Manneguda within the Adibatla police station limits and arrested 22 people.
According to police, a raid was conducted at the suspected gambling den following information about illegal cockfighting and betting activities. During the operation, police seized 31 live betting cocks and 146 cockfighting knives.
Police also recovered 20 mobile phones, three cars and three two-wheelers from the spot. The total value of the seized cash, vehicles and other items is estimated at around Rs. 35 lakh.

The police reportedly seized Rs. 3.60 lakh in cash allegedly linked to the betting activities.
A case has been registered against the arrested persons, and further investigation is underway to identify others involved in the alleged betting network.
Police have intensified surveillance against illegal gambling and cockfighting activities in the area and warned that strict action would be taken against those involved in such unlawful activities.
