Hyderabad Folk Dancer Madhuri Rathod Attempts Suicide, Suicide Note

Hyderabad: Folk dancer Madhuri Rathod reportedly attempted suicide after allegedly suffering severe emotional distress over a relationship dispute and claiming that a man identified as Eshwar Sai had deceived her after promising to marry her.

According to the suicide note reportedly written by Madhuri, she apologised to her parents and said that she had lost the desire to live. She also stated that she had made a mistake and described death as the punishment for it.

Madhuri allegedly accused Eshwar Sai of cheating her after assuring her that he would marry her. She had reportedly approached the police and lodged a complaint against him, but the alleged lack of immediate action left her deeply distressed.

In the note, Madhuri reportedly expressed anguish over damage to her reputation, saying that she had received a bad name because of the incident and was unable to cope with the situation.

She subsequently attempted suicide by hanging herself. Her family members reportedly noticed her and broke open the door before rescuing her from the room.

Madhuri was subsequently taken for medical treatment. Further details regarding her condition and the police action in connection with her allegations are awaited.

The incident has once again highlighted the importance of timely support and intervention for people experiencing severe emotional distress.
