Compassionate appointments in TSRTC soon

Hyderabad: Chairman of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan Reddy announced that the compassionate appointment will be made in the Corporation soon.Â

Informing the deliberation of the TSRTC Governing Council Board Meeting which was held today after the gap of 8 years, the Chairman said that about 12 hundred people would be employed under the compassionate appointments and the policies relating to this would be released very soon.
He also announced that the Corporation will purchase 1060 new buses very soon. He said that the Council Board had also taken permission to increase diesel cess and toll cess.
The Managing Director of TSRTC VC Sajjanar announced that electric buses will also be introduced in the districts. However, this will be taken up after it has been introduced in the cities and then it will be introduced in the districts.
He said that some technical approvals were required for this and efforts were underway. He said that the tenders for purchase of 1,060 new buses will be called soon.
He said that the decision was taken to convert the Tarnaka Hospital of the Corporation into a super specialty hospital. He said due to the increase in diesel prices, the TSRTC is facing losses, however, with the introduction of electric buses in a phased manner, it will solve the problem.Â
