The protest was held near the Gandhi Statue at Fateh Darwaza in the Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency under the leadership of Pulipati Rajesh Kumar, a member of the TPCC Election Commission Coordination Committee and Congress In-charge for Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency.

Congress workers organized a rally from Chandulal Baradari to Fateh Darwaza, raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Congress Condemns Arrests of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi

During the protest, Congress leaders strongly condemned the police lathi charge on students who were peacefully protesting at Jantar Mantar.

They also strongly condemned what they described as the unjust arrests and detention of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, and other national leaders.

According to the statement, attacking students and citizens who are exercising their democratic right to protest in what it described as the world’s largest democracy is a highly condemnable act and one that the people of India will not forgive.

Key Demands Raised During the Protest

The organizers placed the following demands before the Central Government:

• Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should immediately resign, taking responsibility for the incident.
• Union Home Minister Amit Shah should apologize to students and the people of the country in Parliament.
• Action should be taken against the officials responsible for the alleged lathi charge.
• All cases registered against students at Jantar Mantar should be withdrawn.
• The authorities should issue an apology to the students.
