The Tappachabutra Police have arrested three accused in connection with an attempt-to-murder case that allegedly stemmed from a family property dispute at Daibagh, Hyderabad. The case was registered as Crime No. 145/2026 under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. Police have seized the alleged weapon and a scooter used in the offence, while all three accused have been remanded to judicial custody.

Three Accused Arrested in Daibagh Attempt-to-Murder Case
According to the police press note, the arrested accused are:
- Mohameed Dastagir Shareef alias Pappu (32)
- Md. Gulam Nabi Qureshi (44)
- Mohd. Osman alias Addu (25)
The case was registered as Crime No. 145/2026 under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.
Family Property Dispute Led to Alleged Attack
Police said the prime accused allegedly planned the attack following an ongoing family property dispute.
According to the investigation, the accused allegedly trespassed into the victim’s residence at Daibagh, Hyderabad and assaulted a woman with a butcher knife.
When the woman’s husband tried to intervene, he was also allegedly attacked by the accused.

Victim Escaped and Sought Help
Police said the victim later managed to escape from the house and sought help from neighbours, following which the accused allegedly fled the scene.
Scooter and Butcher Knife Seized
During the investigation, the police seized:
- Activa scooter – Registration No. TG 12 B 0120
- Butcher knife allegedly used in the offence
The seized articles are part of the ongoing investigation.
Accused Remanded to Judicial Custody
Following their arrest, the accused were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
The case was detected under the supervision of ACP Kulsumpura Division.
Senior police officers appreciated the police team’s prompt action in detecting the case and arresting the accused.
