A woman COVID patient died after the ambulance, in which she was being transported to a hospital in Ernakulam from Kollam, met with an accident at Eramellur on NH here on Saturday morning.
Alappuzha: A woman COVID patient died after the ambulance, in which she was being transported to a hospital in Ernakulam from Kollam, met with an accident at Eramellur on NH here on Saturday morning.
The 65-year-old Sheela P Pillai of Kollam Thirumoolapuram died, and her son Dr Manjunath, his wife Devika and driver Santhosh suffered serious injuries.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control and hit a tree on the roadside. All the injured were taken to the nearest hospital, sources said.
