Komatireddy Orders Fast-Track for Mega Infrastructure Projects; New High Court and Osmania Hospital Targeted for December

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials to fast-track Telangana infrastructure projects. Ten HAM road packages will begin in July, while the new High Court and Osmania General Hospital are targeted for inauguration by December 2027.

Hyderabad: Telangana Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday directed officials to speed up all ongoing infrastructure projects across Telangana, with 10 HAM road packages set to begin in July and the new High Court complex and Osmania General Hospital targeted for inauguration by December 2027. During a marathon review meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, the Minister instructed officials to accelerate execution, strengthen supervision, and warned that surprise inspections would begin from this week.

Telangana HAM Road Projects to Be Accelerated

Chairing the review meeting with senior officials of the Roads & Buildings Department, Minister Komatireddy said the State Government, under the leadership of A. Revanth Reddy, has launched an unprecedented programme to build world-class roads across Telangana.

He said the first phase of the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road programme includes the construction of 6,092 km of roads at an estimated cost of nearly ₹13,000 crore under 34 packages.

According to the Minister:

  • Works under Package-2 have already commenced.
  • The package includes the 42-km Nalgonda–Mahabubnagar double road project.
  • Another 10 HAM road packages will be grounded during July.

Officials were instructed to speed up execution and, after the monsoon, carry out road construction in three shifts, including night hours, to ensure all projects are completed within the stipulated schedule.

Quality Roads to Boost Telangana’s Growth

Minister Komatireddy said quality road connectivity would become a catalyst for:

  • Economic growth
  • Industrial development
  • Employment generation

He directed Chief Engineers to deploy experienced field engineers for every package and maintain close supervision over construction works.

Karimnagar HAM and CRF Road Projects Foundation on July 6

The Minister announced that foundation stones for HAM and CRF road projects in Karimnagar district would be laid on July 6 in the presence of local Ministers and public representatives.

He instructed officials to complete all preparatory arrangements before the event.

New High Court and Osmania General Hospital Deadline Fixed

Reviewing construction works of the new High Court complex and Judges’ residential quarters at Rajendranagar, Minister Komatireddy instructed officials to substantially increase the pace of construction by deploying additional manpower and strengthening field-level supervision.

He made it clear that both:

  • The new High Court complex, and
  • The new Osmania General Hospital

must be completed and made ready for inauguration by December 2027.

TIMS, NIMS Expansion and Warangal Super Speciality Hospital Reviewed

The Minister also reviewed the progress of:

  • TIMS Hospital at Sanathnagar
  • TIMS Hospital at Alwal
  • TIMS Hospital at LB Nagar
  • Expansion of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences
  • Warangal Multi Super Speciality Hospital

He directed officials to speed up these projects so they can be opened for public use at the earliest.

Surprise Inspections from This Week

Calling for greater accountability, Minister Komatireddy instructed officials to appoint technically competent and committed engineers to all prestigious infrastructure projects.

He warned that surprise inspections of project sites would begin from this week, adding that any negligence or delay in execution would invite stringent action.

Basara, Bhadrachalam Temple Works and Godavari Pushkaralu Reviewed

The Minister also reviewed:

  • Temple development works at Basara
  • Temple development works at Bhadrachalam
  • Roads & Buildings Department’s preparations for the forthcoming Godavari Pushkaralu

He directed officials to coordinate with the concerned departments and complete all assigned works within the prescribed timelines.
