Call for Joint Declaration With Muslim Organisations
The religious leader stated that next year they would work together with Jamiat-ul-Quresh and other Muslim organisations to make a declaration demanding that the cow be given the status of a national symbol.

Meeting With Commissioner Reportedly Cancelled or Postponed

Allegations Against Government and Police Policy
Maulana Jafar Pasha alleged that the current situation reflected the “failure of the government.”
He stated that the Home Ministry is under the Chief Minister and claimed that if the Chief Minister issued strict orders, nobody would dare stop animal transportation.

According to him, such policies could politically harm the government and create dissatisfaction among Muslims.
Demand to Remove Police Checkposts
The religious leader demanded that the government remove police checkposts established at various police stations.
He alleged that strict checking and monitoring during Eid create fear among Muslims every year regarding large animals.
He also appealed to the Police Commissioner, whom he described as fair-minded, to take strict action against people allegedly creating obstacles in matters related to large animals.
Repeated Call for Boycott of Large Animals
Maulana Jafar Pasha again stated that if Muslims exercised restraint regarding large animals for one year, others “would come to their senses.”

Maulana Jafar Pasha, while addressing the media, demanded the removal of police checkposts during Bakrid and appealed for cleanliness, peace, and responsible handling of animals in Hyderabad.
