Secunderabad: In a major mobile phone recovery operation using the CEIR portal, around 150 cell phones were recovered and handed over to their owners at the Secunderabad GRP Police Station premises, under the supervision of Inspector Sai Eshwar Goud.

Government Railway DSP S N Javed personally returned the devices and advised citizens to immediately register complaints through the CEIR portal and concerned police station. The recovery process is ongoing.

CEIR Portal Mobile Recovery in Secunderabad

Government Railway DSP S N Javed urged the public to register lost mobile phones immediately on the CEIR portal, file a complaint at the nearest police station, and block bank account transactions to prevent misuse.

He said that the CEIR portal, which became available in April 2023, has been highly useful in tracing lost or stolen devices.

During the event, DSP S N Javed issued an important advisory to railway passengers:

  • Even a small negligence can result in loss of valuables and mobile phones
  • Travel with minimal luggage, especially when accompanied by children
  • Avoid carrying unnecessary valuables
  • Take care while charging mobile phones
  • Inform family members or co-passengers before going to the restroom

He stressed that proper precautions can prevent theft and loss during travel.

CEIR Portal Helps Trace and Recover Devices

The DSP highlighted that the CEIR portal plays a crucial role in mobile phone recovery, helping police trace and retrieve devices efficiently. He added that citizens must actively use the system for quick recovery.

The Secunderabad mobile recovery operation through the CEIR portal resulted in 150 phones being returned to owners at the GRP Police Station, with DSP S N Javed leading the effort. Since April 2023, around 1600 phones have been recovered, and authorities continue to urge citizens to report lost devices immediately and follow safety measures while traveling.
