Telangana State Formation Day: Minister Adluri Laxman Highlights Welfare, Development Achievements and Telangana Rising-2047 Vision
Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated grandly in Karimnagar as Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar highlighted Telangana Rising-2047, welfare achievements, farmer support, education, healthcare and development initiatives under CM Revanth Reddy.

Telangana State Formation Day celebrations were held grandly at the Police Parade Ground in Karimnagar district headquarters on Tuesday. State SC, ST Welfare, Differently Abled, Senior Citizens and Transgender Empowerment Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar hoisted the National Flag, received the police guard of honour, paid tributes to Telangana martyrs, and highlighted the state government’s welfare and development achievements under the leadership of Chief Minister Enumula Revanth Reddy. The Minister said Telangana was formed due to the sacrifices of martyrs and that comprehensive development remains the government’s primary goal.

Telangana Formed Due to Sacrifices of Martyrs: Minister
Participating in the official Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar paid rich tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana.
The event was attended by Choppadandi MLA Medipalli Satyam, Manakondur MLA Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, District Collector Chitra Mishra, Police Commissioner Ghouse Alam, public representatives, officials of various departments, employees, students, Telangana movement activists and freedom fighters.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said Telangana was formed as a result of the sacrifices of martyrs, the struggles of Telangana movement activists and the aspirations of the people.
Telangana’s 12-Year Journey a Matter of Pride
The Minister stated that the dream of a separate Telangana State, realised on June 2, 2014, has emerged as a symbol of development, welfare, self-confidence and self-respect and earned a unique identity across the country.
He expressed gratitude to the families of martyrs, Telangana activists and every citizen of Telangana who contributed to the statehood movement.
Adluri Laxman Kumar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Enumula Revanth Reddy, the government is providing transparent governance in line with people’s aspirations and working to make Telangana a model state for the country.
Telangana Rising-2047 Vision for Global Economic Growth
The Minister said the state government has prepared the “Telangana Rising-2047” vision document with the goal of transforming Telangana into a global economic powerhouse.
According to him, attracting investments, increasing employment opportunities, creating wealth and utilizing that wealth for public welfare are the government’s primary objectives.
Prajapalana–Pragati Pranalika Successfully Implemented
The Minister said the “Prajapalana–Pragati Pranalika” programme launched by the government to take development to every household through people’s participation is being successfully implemented in Karimnagar district.
Under the programme:
- Cleanliness drives were conducted in 3,506 government offices
- 2,913 pending files were cleared
- 78 companies participated in a Mega Job Mela
- 292 people secured employment through the initiative
Mahalakshmi Scheme Benefits Women Across Karimnagar
The Minister said that under the Mahalakshmi Scheme:
- Women made 7.39 crore free bus journeys in RTC buses
- Women received benefits worth Rs.334 crore
- 1.58 lakh beneficiaries received 9.23 lakh LPG cylinders at Rs.500 each
- The government spent Rs.29.78 crore on the scheme
Gruha Jyothi Scheme Provides Rs.153 Crore Benefit
Under the Gruha Jyothi Scheme, households consuming up to 200 units of electricity are receiving zero electricity bills.
The Minister stated that:
- 1,73,627 consumers benefited
- Total benefit provided amounted to Rs.153 crore
Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima Support Farmers
Under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme:
- 1,93,544 farmers received direct deposits
- A total of Rs.143.35 crore was credited into farmers’ bank accounts
Under the Rythu Bima Scheme:
- Families of 267 deceased farmers received compensation
- Compensation amount totalled Rs.13.35 crore
Indiramma Housing Scheme Fulfilling Housing Dreams
The Minister stated that under the Indiramma Housing Scheme:
- 10,114 beneficiaries were selected
- 7,076 houses are under construction
- 2,081 families have completed housewarming ceremonies and occupied their homes
Record Paddy Procurement in Yasangi Season
The Minister said that during the Yasangi season:
- 319 procurement centres were established
- 2,90,885 metric tonnes of paddy were procured
- Rs.554 crore was deposited into farmers’ accounts
- 23,710 metric tonnes of maize were also procured
Fine Rice Distribution and Ration Card Expansion
The Minister highlighted major achievements in food security:
- 279 metric tonnes of fine rice supplied for student meals
- 600 quintals of fine rice supplied every month for the Mid-Day Meal Scheme
- 45,920 new ration cards sanctioned
- 96,775 new members added
- 6,021 metric tonnes of fine rice distributed every month to 3.20 lakh families
Hundreds of Crores in Loans to Women Self-Help Groups
Through the Urban Poverty Alleviation Organisation:
- 980 Self-Help Groups received loans worth Rs.147 crore
- During the current financial year, 118 groups received bank linkage assistance worth Rs.17.70 crore
Through the District Rural Development Agency:
- Women’s Self-Help Groups received loans worth Rs.3 crore
Pensions, Saree Distribution and Fisherfolk Support
The Minister stated:
- 1,33,293 beneficiaries receive pensions every month
- Monthly pension assistance totals Rs.31.32 crore
- 1.41 lakh women received free sarees
- Mobile Fish Retail Units worth Rs.10 lakh were sanctioned to Self-Help Groups
Excellent Results in Education Sector
During the current academic year:
- 13,137 students appeared for SSC examinations
- 12,949 students passed
- District recorded 98.57% pass percentage
Additionally:
- 58 pre-primary schools were started
- Around 1,000 students received training through summer camps
Major Support for SC and BC Students
The Minister announced that:
- 2,535 SC students received hostel admissions
- 29,240 BC students received fee reimbursement and scholarships worth Rs.74.43 crore
Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak Assistance
Under welfare schemes:
- 1,836 beneficiaries received assistance under Kalyana Lakshmi
- 458 beneficiaries received assistance under Shaadi Mubarak
Aarogyasri Provides Free Treatment to Over 52,000 People
Under the Rajiv Aarogyasri Scheme:
- Free surgeries were conducted for 52,116 beneficiaries
- Services were provided through 38 network hospitals
- Government paid Rs.139 crore towards treatment expenses
Nutrition Through Anganwadi Centres
The Minister said that through 777 Anganwadi Centres:
- 7,579 pregnant women and lactating mothers are being provided nutritious meals
- 46,069 children are receiving supplementary nutrition
He also stated that a Day Care Centre for senior citizens and the Maitri Clinic for transgender welfare are functioning successfully.
Minister Thanks CM Revanth Reddy and District Stakeholders
The Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, public representatives, officials, police personnel, judicial officers, employees, voluntary organisations, Telangana movement activists, journalists and the people of Karimnagar district for supporting development initiatives.
On the occasion, the Minister, MLAs and District Collector handed over a cheque related to loans worth Rs.116 crore and Rs.10 lakh to Sri Sita Ramachandra District Joint Representatives and Swashakti Women Self-Help Groups.
The Minister reiterated that fulfilling the aspirations of Telangana martyrs and ensuring public welfare and comprehensive district development remain the government’s primary objectives.
Stalls, Cultural Programmes and Felicitations Mark Celebrations
After the official programme, the Minister, MLAs, District Collector and Police Commissioner inspected stalls set up by various government departments.
Cultural performances presented by students from different schools attracted the audience. Guests honoured talented students with mementoes.
The Minister, MLAs and District Collector also felicitated family members of Telangana martyrs and praised their sacrifices.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to several police officers, officials and staff members for rendering outstanding services in their respective duties.
Earlier, Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, MLAs Medipalli Satyam and Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, SUDA Chairman Komatireddy Narendra Reddy, District Library Organisation Chairman Sattu Mallesham and others paid tributes at the Telangana Martyrs Memorial.
