According to preliminary information, the private bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when the Eicher vehicle reportedly rammed into it on the bridge. The impact was severe, causing both vehicles to fall off the bridge.
Around 40 passengers were reportedly travelling on the bus at the time of the accident. At least 20 of them sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Following the accident, police and emergency personnel rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured passengers were pulled out of the damaged bus and the other vehicle before being shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
