Police Deny Permission for KTR’s Farmers’ Rally in Miryalaguda, BRS Alleges Congress Conspiracy

The BRS had planned to organise a massive farmers’ rally from the flyover to Rajiv Chowk in Miryalaguda town, followed by a public meeting at Rajiv Chowk. The programme was reportedly planned to highlight farmers’ issues and the concerns being raised by the party.

Miryalaguda: Tension has reportedly emerged in Miryalaguda over the proposed farmers’ rally and public meeting to be addressed by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on September 3.

The BRS had planned to organise a massive farmers’ rally from the flyover to Rajiv Chowk in Miryalaguda town, followed by a public meeting at Rajiv Chowk. The programme was reportedly planned to highlight farmers’ issues and the concerns being raised by the party.

However, police authorities have denied permission for the proposed rally and meeting. Former BRS MLA Bhaskar Rao had reportedly submitted an application seeking permission to conduct the programme, but the police rejected the request.

The denial of permission has triggered a political controversy, with BRS leaders alleging that the Congress government is deliberately attempting to prevent KTR from holding the farmers’ rally in Miryalaguda.

BRS leaders have questioned the reasons for refusing permission and alleged that the move amounts to an attempt to suppress the party’s programmes and prevent it from raising farmers’ issues.

The development is expected to intensify the political confrontation between the ruling Congress and the BRS in the run-up to the proposed September 3 programme. Further decisions by the BRS regarding the rally are awaited.
