Hyderabad: A tragic incident occurred in broad daylight in the old city of Hyderabad, under the jurisdiction of the Santosh Nagar police station area on Thursday. Mohammad Ghani Qureshi, who operates a mutton shop in Eidi Bazar Mohammad Nagar area, had his 13-year-old son, Mohammad Naveed Qureshi, working alongside him.
Reportedly, Naveed was involved in an argument with someone. On that fateful Thursday afternoon, Ghani Qureshi left the shop to return home for a meal, leaving Naveed alone. Around 3 pm, a young man named Maaz entered the mutton shop, attacked Naveed with a knife, and swiftly fled the scene. Naveed sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital by locals for treatment. Tragically, he was pronounced dead following a medical examination.
Following a complaint from Ghani Qureshi’s father, the police have officially registered a case and initiated an investigation. DCPB Rohit Raju of South and East Zone, along with Santosh Nagar ACP Mohammad Ghouse and Inspector P Shivchandra, promptly responded to the report of the murder, and the investigation is currently underway to ascertain the motive behind this tragic event.
