Firing at Asaduddin Owaisi’s Vehicle in UP

Hyderabad: Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi’s car was attacked. Four rounds of gunfire were reported on his vehicle at the time. Asaduddin Owaisi himself tweeted in Hindi that he was on his way to Delhi from Meerut when four rounds were fired at his car at the Chhajarsi toll gate.
He said the attackers were three to four people who opened fire on his car. Immediately after the shooting, all the assailants fled but left their weapons behind. Asaduddin Owaisi’s car was punctured due to firing. Asaduddin Owaisi and his entourage survived the attack and were unharmed.
Asaduddin Owaisi said he left in another car after the attack. He also reported no injuries and said we were all safe and I got out of the car; Alhamdulillah.
With this incident, a sensation spread in the area and the news spread like wildfire all over the country. Speaking to a media agency later, Asad Owaisi said that three to four bullets were fired at his car.
He survived the attack but his vehicle was damaged. Earlier, he had participated in an election program in Kithaur, Meerut. He was on his way to Delhi after the event when his car was attacked near Chhajarsi toll plaza. Further details are awaited.
