First Batch of Hajj 2026 Pilgrims Receives Grand Welcome in Hyderabad

The return journey of Hajj 2026 pilgrims began on Friday as the first flight carrying pilgrims from Saudi Arabia landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, early in the morning. The arrival was marked by a warm and emotional reception, with scenes of joy and reunion witnessed at the airport.

Hyderabad: The return journey of Hajj 2026 pilgrims began on Friday as the first flight carrying pilgrims from Saudi Arabia landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, early in the morning. The arrival was marked by a warm and emotional reception, with scenes of joy and reunion witnessed at the airport.

According to officials, the first Hajj flight arrived in Hyderabad at around 6 a.m. Special arrangements had been made by the Telangana State Haj Committee to ensure a smooth arrival process for the pilgrims and their families.

Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Syed Shah Ghulam Afzal Biabani, popularly known as Khusro Pasha, personally welcomed the returning pilgrims. Executive Officer Mohammed Asadullah, Haj Committee members, and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Telangana Minister for Minority Welfare Mohammed Azharuddin, AIMIM MLC Rahmat Baig, Haj Committee members, and several dignitaries greeted the pilgrims and congratulated them on the successful completion of their sacred journey.

A large number of family members and relatives gathered at the airport to receive their loved ones. Emotional scenes unfolded as pilgrims reunited with their families after weeks of separation. The atmosphere was filled with happiness, prayers, and heartfelt greetings, while many pilgrims were welcomed with flowers and warm wishes.

Officials of the Haj Committee expressed satisfaction over the safe return of the pilgrims and stated that additional flights carrying Hajj pilgrims would continue to arrive in the coming days. They added that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the return of the remaining pilgrims.

Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam, draws millions of Muslims from across the world to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah every year. The safe return of pilgrims after completing the sacred journey is considered a moment of immense joy and gratitude for both the pilgrims and their families.
