Hyderabad: Mailardevpally Police have apprehended three accused in a robbery case registered as Crime No. 642/2026 under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitah (BNS). The accused allegedly assaulted a 36-year-old woman near Kanak Bakery, Kattedan, snatched her VIVO mobile phone and Rs. 4,500 in cash, and fled on an Activa scooter. During the investigation, police recovered one VIVO mobile phone, Rs. 1,200 in cash, and one Navy Blue Activa scooter.

Woman Robbed Near Kanak Bakery in Kattedan
According to the police, a complaint was received on 27-06-2026 at 12:50 hours from Smt. Pooja Sathy, wife of Artabandhu Sathy, aged 36 years, working at a pan shop, belonging to ST (Orissa) and residing near MS Hotel, opposite Gayatri Medical Store, Ganesh Nagar, Kattedan, Mailardevpally.
Her contact numbers were mentioned as 8374656945 and 8498858486.
She told police that she had been running a pan shop at APCO Colony for the last two years. Every day, she opens the shop at 16:00 hours (4:00 PM) and closes it at 22:00 hours (10:00 PM).
On 26-06-2026, at about 21:40 hours (9:40 PM), after closing her shop, she was walking home when she reached near Kanak Bakery, Kattedan.
At that point, three unknown persons arrived on an Activa motorcycle, allegedly assaulted her with their hands on her face and head, snatched her mobile phone and Rs. 4,500 in cash, and escaped.
Based on the complaint, Mailardevpally Police registered Crime No. 642/2026 under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitah (BNS) and launched an investigation.
CCTV Footage and Technical Evidence Helped Police Crack the Case
During the investigation, police verified CCTV footage and used advanced technical tools to identify the suspects.
On 07-07-2026, the investigation team successfully tracked and apprehended all three accused.

- A-1: Mohammed Ghouse, son of Mohammed Chand Pasha, 19 years, Driver at Blue Dart, Muslim, resident of Harsh Mahal, Kishanbagh, Hyderabad.
- A-2: Vadla Chandu, son of Vadla Rachiah, 19 years, Plastering Labour, resident of Near Government School, Budwel Railway Station, Mailardevpally Village, Rajendranagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
- A-3: Athamaraj Vikas, son of Athmaraj Lalan, 21 years, Employee at Apollo Pharmacy, Caste Chakali, resident of Sri Ram Nagar Colony, nearby Government School, Budwel Railway Station, Mailardevpally Village, Rajendranagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
