Officials from the Telangana State IT Corridor Hostel Association said that around 11,000 hostels in Hyderabad have been affected by the disruption in gas supply.

Hostel Association Appeals for Government Intervention

The association has urged the government to intervene immediately to resolve the commercial LPG cylinder shortage in Hyderabad.

According to representatives:

• Hostel operators were already managing costs despite a 35% increase in gas prices
• The complete stoppage of supply has made operations extremely difficult

Key Demands by Hostel Operators

Hostel operators have requested that:

• If commercial cylinders are unavailable, domestic LPG cylinders should be supplied temporarily

They warned that without urgent action, feeding lakhs of hostel residents will become impossible, and many hostels may be forced to shut down.
