Awareness Required to Prevent Cyber Crimes: Prof. Ainul Hasan

Addressing as the chief guest, Prof. Ainul Hasan spoke about the effects of Cyber Crimes. He emphasized on making people aware of cyber crimes and need to protect them.

Hyderabad: Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) yesterday inaugurated a 10-day Online Faculty Development Programme on “Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security” being organized by the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, MANUU and Electronics & ICT Academy, NIT, Warangal under the scheme of Electronics & ICT Academy. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India is sponsoring the FDP.

Addressing as the chief guest, Prof. Ainul Hasan spoke about the effects of Cyber Crimes. He emphasized on making people aware of cyber crimes and need to protect them.

Prof. S.M. Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MANUU was the guest of honour. Highlighting New Education Policy-2020, he said NEP also lays emphasis on promotion of latest technologies in the file of education. There is a need to exchange the knowledge among academicians across the country, he added.

The academicians from IITs/NITs/IIITs/Professor from Victoria University, Australia and Industry experts in the field of Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security are invited to deliver lectures during FDP. The faculty members from NIT Warangal are conducting the programme. 

Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology, Chairman FDP, Dr.Syed Imtiyaz Hassan, Head, Department of CS&IT, MANUU, Co-Chair FDP and Dr. Bonthu Kotaiah, Assistant Professor, Department of CS & IT, MANUU, Co-ordinator-cum-Convenor and Dr. E. Suresh Babu, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, Co-ordinator, NITW, WARANGAL also attended.

The Assistant Professors, Department of CS & IT, MANUU – Ms. Geeta Pattun conducted the proceedings whereas Ms. T. Arundhathi proposed vote of thanks.
