Bheemadevarapalli: Tension prevailed in Vangara Hanumakonda district on Wednesday as some miscreants hurled eggs at the convoy of Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar during his Prajahita yatra.
While the MP was returning after visiting the late Prime Minister’s ancestral house in Vangara, two miscreants allegedly hurled eggs at the convoy of Bandi Sanjay Kumar, which fell on the media vehicle. With this, tension prevailed in the area.
The irate BJP leaders alleged that the egg attack on the convoy was done at the instance of minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
They also alleged that the egg attack was done in the presence of police personnel even after they were given prior information about the MP’s tour in the area.
They also accused the police of keeping mum and not taking action against the miscreants. The angry MP told the police personnel that he doesn’t want any police security and not to accompany his rally as his party workers would take care.
