Engineering Colleges across the State likely to start from Nov 25

Hyderabad: Engineering Colleges across the State of Telangana is likely to start from November 25, the schedule to this effect will be released soon.
The Higher Education Council Chairman, Professor Limbadri has already undertaken two phases of EAMCET counseling.
The Candidates who secured seats in the second phase are required to report to the concerned colleges by November 18. Nearly 3,500 of those who secured seats in the first phase went to National Colleges and other private deemed Universities.

The total convener seats in Engineering are 79,790 out of which 73,428 seats were allocated through two stages of counseling.
Students will be offered special counseling from 21st of this month, which will be added to the already vacant seats.
Officials say the process will end on 22nd of this month and direct teaching will begin. The National Council for Technical Education has also suggested starting engineering first year classes later this month.
There are a total 175 Engineering colleges in the State, of these 158 are private. The rush began in all the colleges in the wake of the approaching time for the start of engineering classes.
Management quota seats have already been filled in the top ten colleges. Other Engineering colleges are scrambling to fill the remaining seats.
This time new courses in computer science were approved. This increased the number of seats. The number of computer science seats has increased and the civil and mechanical seats have decreased.
