Food Safety Teams Inspect Restaurants Across Hyderabad, Violations Found at Several Outlets
The inspections covered prominent restaurants including Chutneys, Spice 6 and Ohris in Banjara Hills, The Spice Venue in Jubilee Hills, 4 Seasons Multicuisine and Shah Ghouse in Tollychowki, and Pista House in Gachibowli.
Hyderabad: Six teams from the Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE), along with police personnel, conducted special food safety inspections at several restaurants across Hyderabad and found multiple violations.
The inspections covered prominent restaurants including Chutneys, Spice 6 and Ohris in Banjara Hills, The Spice Venue in Jubilee Hills, 4 Seasons Multicuisine and Shah Ghouse in Tollychowki, and Pista House in Gachibowli.
During the inspections, officials reportedly found several food safety violations at some of the establishments. These included poor hygiene, expired food items, improper handling and storage of food articles, spoiled vegetables, violations of FSS labelling and display regulations, and pest infestation.
Officials said 11 food samples were collected on suspicion of adulteration and would be subjected to further testing.

As part of the enforcement action, four improvement notices and three show-cause notices were issued to establishments found violating food safety norms. Officials also ordered the suspension of operations of certain establishments in Hyderabad, directing them to discontinue business activities immediately.
The special drive was conducted by TG SAFE’s Enforcement Wing, comprising Food Safety Officers and police personnel, as part of efforts to ensure compliance with food safety standards in Hyderabad’s Core Urban Region (CURE).
Officials said further action would be taken based on the inspection findings and laboratory results of the collected samples.
