The Telangana Government has released another ₹2,000 crore towards pending dues of state government employees, fulfilling its commitment to clear long-pending payments. Acting on the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania released the funds on Monday. This marks the second installment after the first ₹2,000 crore was released on the 29th of last month, reinforcing the Congress government’s promise to employees.

Telangana Government Accelerates Employee Dues Clearance
Despite financial constraints, the Telangana Government stated that it is accelerating the payment of pending dues while honouring the promise made to government employees.
According to the government, the latest release of ₹2,000 crore was made following the directions of:
- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy
- Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka
The funds were released by Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania on Monday.
The decision has brought relief to lakhs of serving employees and retired staff across the state.
Government Fulfilling Promise Made to Employee JAC Leaders
The government recalled that it had assured Employee JAC leaders that ₹6,000 crore of long-pending dues would be released within 100 days.
In line with that commitment:
- First installment: ₹2,000 crore released on the 29th of last month.
- Second installment: Another ₹2,000 crore released on Monday.
The government said the latest release demonstrates its commitment to fulfilling the assurance given to employees.
Retired Employees’ GPF Dues Fully Cleared
The Telangana Government said it has given top priority to the welfare of retired employees.
According to the announcement:
- General Provident Fund (GPF) dues of retired employees and Zilla Parishad teachers have been paid 100%.
- All GPF accounts of retired employees have been completely cleared.
- The government clarified that there are no pending GPF dues for retired employees.
Commutation Dues Cleared up to September 2025
The government also announced that all commutation dues of retired employees up to September 2025 have been fully paid.
Small Pending Bills Also Cleared
The government stated that all pending bills valued at below ₹10,000 have been cleared.
According to the announcement:
- More than 5 lakh tokens in this category were identified.
- Payments were made without any delay.
Employee Unions Welcome the Decision
Leaders of employee unions expressed happiness over the government’s decision.
They appreciated the government’s positive approach towards employee-related issues despite financial difficulties.
Finance Department officials also stated that the remaining pending dues would be cleared in a phased and systematic manner in the coming days, giving employees renewed confidence.
